Athens hosts the second Gastrosophy Fest on Sunday 4 October at the Faliro Tae Kwon Do indoor arena, a bigger site than last year, with organisers expecting about 4,000 visitors. The event is powered by Protergia.<\/p>\n

The theme is \u201cThe Value of Nourishment and Its Journey.\u201d The programme treats food as a route, not a plate: land and sea, producers, taste, hospitality and what ends up on the table next.<\/p>\n

The day mixes keynote talks and open panels with food and wine, live cooking, networking, an Open Food Party and a concert. One ticket covers the floor.<\/p>\n

Sessions look at what \u201cnourishment\u201d means when production, climate and public taste are all shifting; how Greek cooking can move without dropping its ingredients and its people; and where a chef\u2019s responsibility starts and stops, from producer to guest. A sea panel links fishing and sustainability to what Greek kitchens will still be able to serve.<\/p>\n

Athens is the other subject. Organisers argue the city\u2019s chefs, producers and hotels are building a food identity that now sits on the visitor map, not only on the local one.<\/p>\n
