The practice reportedly recommends sessions twice a week in some cases.

Each session costs between €5,000 and €8,000, making the treatment particularly expensive.

Clinic requests patients’ medical records

The representative says prospective patients must provide their medical records before the clinic recommends a treatment plan.

The practice also proposes a liquid biopsy to create a molecular profile of the cancer, which it claims it sends to a specialised laboratory in Switzerland.

In the recorded conversation, a person posing as the relative of an elderly patient with stage-two colon cancer says the patient has undergone surgery but does not want chemotherapy.

The clinic representative asks for the patient’s medical records and says its doctors would review the pathology report and determine what treatment they would recommend and whether it should combine with other treatments.

The representative also says the treatment is available in Thessaloniki but not in North Macedonia.

When asked why the company’s website refers to North Macedonia, the representative explains that a company based there provides services for patients from abroad, but says the treatment itself does not take place there.

Representative says she is not a doctor

During the conversation, the caller asks the representative whether she is a doctor.

“No,” she replies, explaining that the clinic’s doctors would make the necessary recommendations after reviewing the patient’s medical information.

The caller also asks about plasmapheresis.
