Both deny the allegations.

Mazonakis death timeline

2:14pm: Digital records from the plasmapheresis machine reportedly show the procedure began.

3:00pm: The nurse who later testified said she arrived at the clinic. She said Mazonakis was already inside.

After 4:00pm: The nurse said that, until this point, “everything was fine”.

4:00pm to 4:10pm: A call was reportedly made from the clinic to an anaesthetist.

Shortly afterwards: Staff contacted the person who had supplied the clinic’s defibrillator after it allegedly failed to function.

According to the nurse, staff were told the defibrillator had not been charged.

4:21pm: A call was reportedly placed to Greece’s National Emergency Aid Centre, EKAB.

After the emergency call: Investigators are examining the events surrounding Mazonakis’ condition, the response inside the clinic and the treatment provided before emergency services were contacted.

Nurse questioned over arrival time

The nurse was also questioned about an earlier statement concerning when Mazonakis arrived at the clinic.

She told the magistrate that she had initially given investigators a 3:30pm arrival time because, she said, that was the time doctors had instructed staff to provide.

“I said in my first statement that Mazonakis came to the clinic at 3.30pm because that was the line the doctor gave us,” she reportedly said.

She maintained that she personally arrived at 3pm and that Mazonakis was already inside.

The nurse also said she was unaware that the clinic’s equipment was allegedly operating unlawfully and believed staff were following the doctors’ instructions.

“I had no idea the machines at the clinic were illegal,” she said, according to her testimony.

“We thought everything was legal.”

Hypnotherapist’s testimony

Hypnotherapist Nasos Komianos has also given evidence to the magistrate as part of the investigation into the events leading up to Mazonakis’ death.

Komianos said the singer’s manager first contacted him on August 27 about arranging hypnotherapy.

After further contact, a meeting with Mazonakis was arranged for September 7 at a restaurant in Psychiko.

Komianos told investigators that he understood Gaka subsequently contacted Mazonakis to discuss the proposed treatment and fee.

He also described messages exchanged with the doctor before his planned session with the singer.

The investigation is continuing, with authorities examining the clinic’s equipment, medical records, staff testimony and the precise sequence of events on September 9.

 Tags:<br
