The mother of Giorgos Mazonakis has publicly called for justice and a full investigation into the circumstances surrounding her son\u2019s death.<\/p>\n

Cleo Mazonaki made her first public statement following the death of the 54 year old singer, saying simply: \u201cI ask for justice for the memory of my child, my beloved Giorgos.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

Her brief but emotional statement came as the investigation into Mazonakis\u2019 death continues, with authorities examining the events surrounding his final hours.<\/p>\n

Mazonakis died on September 9 while undergoing a plasmapheresis treatment at a private clinic in Kolonaki.<\/p>\n

His death has since become the subject of a criminal investigation, with two doctors facing serious charges over their alleged role in the circumstances that preceded his death.<\/p>\n

The doctors have been temporarily detained and, according to reports on the case, face a charge of homicide with possible intent by omission. The initial allegation of lethal exposure was subsequently upgraded.<\/p>\n

Both defendants deny the accusations and maintain that they did not commit any act or omission that caused Mazonakis\u2019 death. They have also reportedly attributed part of the responsibility to the circumstances surrounding his transfer by emergency medical services.<\/p>\n

Investigators and judicial authorities are examining a series of events at the clinic, including warnings reportedly issued by the plasmapheresis machine, the timing of the call to the emergency services and the circumstances in which the medical procedure was carried out.<\/p>\n

Authorities are also examining actions that investigators believe may have complicated the subsequent investigation.<\/p>\n

The defendants have rejected claims that they ignored critical warnings from the machine.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Mazonakis\u2019 family continues to seek answers about what happened during the final hours of the singer\u2019s life.<\/p>\n

For his mother, the message is now clear: she wants the circumstances of her son\u2019s death fully established and justice pursued in his memory.<\/p>\n

The judicial investigation remains ongoing, and the allegations against the two doctors have not been proven in court.<\/p>\n
