A fresh constitutional challenge to the UK is set to emerge on Monday as the leaders of Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland gather in Cardiff to demand the right to hold independence referendums.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Scotland\u2019s First Minister and SNP leader John Swinney, alongside Plaid Cymru and Sinn F\u00e9in leaders, will sign a new cooperation agreement covering the economy, energy, Europe and self-determination.<\/p>\n

The agreement is expected to strengthen cooperation between the devolved administrations and put renewed pressure on Westminster over the constitutional future of the UK.<\/p>\n

Swinney has described the UK\u2019s current political system as \u201cnot sustainable\u201d, as the SNP continues to push for another Scottish independence referendum.<\/p>\n
