The local market remains positive as far as the domestic economic scene is concerned, and corporate news is rekindling interest among traders, but global geopolitical worries may get the better of local sentiment.<\/p>\n<p>The Athens Exchange (ATHEX) general index closed at 1,490.22 points, shedding 0.90% from Friday\u2019s 1,503.73 points. The large-cap FTSE-25 index contracted 1.17%, ending at 3,619.93 points.<\/p>\n<p>The banks index declined 1.33%, as Eurobank gave up 2.43%, Piraeus conceded 1.65%, Alpha parted with 1.11%, Optima dropped 0.78% and National eased 0.37%.
