Central to this transformation is the restoration of ancient visitor pathways, long worn by centuries of footsteps, and the introduction of new routes designed to accommodate individuals with disabilities. Special emphasis is placed on inclusivity, with improved accessibility for people with limited mobility – a design shift that merges reverence for antiquity with the values of equity and inclusion.

The planned improvements include reshaping entry points, fortifying monument protection, refining rainwater drainage systems, and enhancing fire safety measures. Newly designed resting areas, framed by views that speak to Athens’ eternal allure, promise both respite and inspiration to wandering visitors.
