Her 32-year-old friend, also from Brazil and a permanent resident of Portugal, attempted to intervene but allegedly suffered an attack by the other two men, sustaining an injury to her nose.<\/p>\n
After the incident, local residents who heard the disturbance helped the transwoman and her friend leave the area. Several hours later, at around 9:30am, they filed a complaint against unknown perpetrators and provided police with details of the alleged assault.<\/p>\n
Authorities said the incident reportedly began outside a nightclub before escalating into a confrontation in a square in the Old Town.<\/p>\n
