The win sends the Greek into his first tour-level final since winning the Dubai Championships in March 2025.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter\"\/>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cIt was a great fight against Aleksandr,\u201d Tsitsipas said after the match. \u201cI think we played an incredible match from both sides. It\u2019s unfortunate there has to be a winner at the end. I thought both of us deserved the victory.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">After struggling on serve during the second set, Tsitsipas regained control in the decider with an impressive serving performance. He won 11 of his 12 first-serve points in the third set, according to ATP statistics, and levelled his head-to-head record against Shevchenko at 1-1.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The 27-year-old has enjoyed a strong turnaround in Gstaad, improving his 2026 tour-level record to 21-15 as he continues his resurgence after dropping to world No. 87.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Awaiting Tsitsipas in Sunday\u2019s final is Belgian Raphael Collignon, who reached his maiden ATP Tour final after producing a remarkable comeback against Argentina\u2019s Juan Manuel Cerundolo.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Collignon saved a match point before defeating Cerundolo 1-6, 7-6(5), 7-5, recovering from 2-5 down in the deciding set by winning five consecutive games to complete a dramatic two-hour, 26-minute victory.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The final will mark the first career meeting between Tsitsipas and the 24-year-old Belgian.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cWe\u2019ve both had long matches,\u201d Tsitsipas said when asked about the championship clash. \u201cWe both really want it. We\u2019ve come to the end, the two of us, so I feel like no one wants to go out there and not give it their all. It\u2019s one last breath.
