Since March 7, thousands of visitors have filed through the Onassis Stegi cultural center in Athens for \u2018Photographs\u2019 \u2013 the largest exhibition of Lanthimos\u2019 photographic work ever mounted by a cultural institution. The show runs through May 17. Known for constructing fantastical worlds and probing the contradictions of human relationships in films like \u2018Poor Things\u2019 and \u2018The Favourite,\u2019 Lanthimos here shifts his gaze to a different medium. The photographs carry his unmistakable directorial eye: fleeting moments arrested in stillness, ordinary scenes rendered strange, the transient made permanent. For audiences, the exhibition offers something rare \u2013 an encounter with the visual language of one of cinema\u2019s most singular voices, unmediated by narrative or screen.
