AEK is four points away from clinching the Super League title, after drawing at Panathinaikos and PAOK downed Olympiakos on Sunday.<\/p>\n
AEK drew 0-0 with host Panathinaikos and opened a six-point lead at the top of the play-off table. The Yellows had numerical advantage from as early as the 18th minute due to the straight red shown to Javi Hernandez, but they could not get past Greens\u2019 keeper Alban Lafont.<\/p>\n
Alexander Jeremejeff has given PAOK the edge over Olympiakos on the table after scoring two past the Reds for a 3-1 home win of the Thessaloniki team on Sunday. He scored PAOK\u2019s opener, Ayoub El Kaabi equalized for Olympiakos, but Andrija Zivkovic and then Jeremejeff gave PAOK all three points.<\/p>\n
AEK has 67 points, PAOK and Olympiakos are on 61, and Panathinaikos will finish fourth, having 51.<\/p>\n
OFI\u2019s Cup triumph has meant that the 5-8 playoffs are a mere formality. Levadiakos now seems likely to clinch the fifth spot, its highest ever, after thrashing visiting Volos 5-2, while Aris somewhat spoiled the party of OFI beating the Cup winners 2-0 in Iraklio.<\/p>\n
On the contrary, the relegation battle in the play-outs is hotter than ever, with four teams now involved in the fight to beat the drop. A 99th-minute penalty by Nikos Karelis salvaged a precious point for Panserraikos (1-1) against bottom team Larissa, that it had beaten a week earlier on the road. Asteras Tripolis down Atromitos 4-2 at home and Kifissia defeated host Panetolikos 1-0 and out it into trouble.<\/p>\n
With four rounds of play-out games left to play, Atromitos has 40 points, Kifissia 34, Panetolikos 31, Panserraikos and Asteras 28 and Larissa 25, with the bottom two going down.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
