In current prices, GDP rose by 4.9%.<\/p>\n<p>According to the Cyprus Statistical Service (CyStat), GDP at current prices reached \u20ac36.48 billion, marking a 4.9% increase compared to 2024. In real terms, based on 2019 prices, GDP stood at \u20ac30.66 billion, up 3.8%.<\/p>\n<p>Public spending climbed to \u20ac6.77 billion, up 5.4% in current prices and 2% in real terms. Private consumption also rose, reaching \u20ac20.65 billion, an increase of 3.7% in current prices.<\/p>\n<p>Investment, however, moved in the opposite direction. Gross capital formation fell by 2.3% in current prices to \u20ac7.03 billion and by 4.6% in real terms.<\/p>\n<p>Exports of goods and services posted solid growth, increasing by 5.5% to \u20ac35.6 billion, or 5% in real terms. Imports also went up, though at a slower pace, rising 3.3% in current prices to \u20ac33.54 billion and 2.5% in real terms.<\/p>\n<p>When it comes to income distribution, wages and salaries took the largest share of the economy, totaling \u20ac16.25 billion. Business profits followed at \u20ac9.57 billion.
