Under the scheme, eligible car owners will receive \u20ac50, rising to \u20ac60 for island residents, while motorcycle owners will get \u20ac30, or \u20ac35 on islands.<\/p>\n<p>The measure applies to individuals, including self-employed professionals, with a declared annual income of up to \u20ac25,000 for single applicants and \u20ac35,000 for married couples. The threshold increases by \u20ac5,000 for each dependent child. Authorities estimate the criteria will cover about 75% of drivers.<\/p>\n<p>The subsidy is granted to all qualifying passenger car owners, including those using diesel vehicles, who will also benefit from an existing 20-cent\/liter diesel subsidy.
