Applications are open from January 13 to January 27, 2025.<\/p>\n<p>Doctors have long highlighted understaffing issues, with many covering excessive shifts. A recent open letter from physicians on Leros described dire staffing during the holiday season, with emergencies managed by minimal personnel. Similarly, neonatal units like the one in Patra struggle with over 100% capacity.<\/p>\n<p>To attract candidates, the government has enhanced incentives, including a \u20ac3,600-\u20ac7,200 annual remote-area allowance and reduced mandatory service periods.
