Ruling New Democracy party is holding firm at 25.5% in voter intention, while main opposition PASOK is recording modest gains following its party congress, according to a Pulse poll conducted for SKAI television between March 29-31.<\/p>\n
PASOK climbed one percentage point to reach 12%, appearing to consolidate second place among opposition parties.<\/p>\n
The poll was conducted before criminal case files related to the OPEKEPE agricultural payments agency entered the political conversation.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Nationalist Greek Solution registered 7.5%, up half a point, while protest party Course of Freedom was also at 7.5% but dropped half a point. The Communist Party (KKE) reached 7%, gaining half a point. Leftist SYRIZA dropped one point to 4%. No other party crossed the 3% threshold.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The poll found that 43% of Greeks cite economic consequences as their primary concern stemming from the Middle East conflict. Military involvement worried 20% of respondents, general instability 17%, humanitarian crisis and refugee flows 13%, and terrorism 5%.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Activist Maria Karystianou, whose daughter was one of the 57 victims in the Tempe railway disaster three years ago, announced on April 1 her new political movement. Prior to the announcement, Pulse, asking respondents \u201chow would you view a potential new party\u201d led by her, recorded a theoretical vote share of 26%. Some 13% answered \u201cpositively\u201d and 13% \u201cwith interest.\u201d These figures are unchanged from the company\u2019s previous measurement conducted between March 7-10.\u00a0<\/p>\n
On the same question regarding Alexis Tsipras, there was no significant change: 13% of respondents answered \u201cpositively\u201d (up 1%) and 9% \u201cwith interest\u201d (down 1%).<\/p>\n
The broader political landscape, analysts note, remains fluid, with ongoing investigations and emerging parties likely to further reshape the opposition picture.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
