The passengers, after being kept inside for 15 minutes, had to walk to the next station.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Since then, traffic between Nea Elvetia and Panepistimio stations, that is 8 of the system\u2019s 13 stops, has been running on one track only.<\/p>\n<p>This was not the only rail incident of the day. At Mt. Pelion, the steam train plying a 15-kilometer route, was derailed on the first day of its new operation and services have been suspended.
