NBA superstar James Harden chose Mykonos for his summer vacation, joining the long list of top athletes who flock to the “Island of the Winds” every year. The American guard, instantly recognisable by his signature beard, has been spotted relaxing with friends in the island’s glamorous streets.
During an evening stroll through Matogiannia, however, Harden experienced an unexpectedly awkward moment.
As captured on video, the former MVP extended his hand to greet a female tourist walking past him, expecting a friendly response. The woman continued on her way without acknowledging or recognising the basketball star, leaving Harden standing with his hand raised for a few seconds in mild confusion.
The clip quickly spread across social media, proving that even one of the NBA’s biggest names can find himself in an embarrassing holiday moment.
Harden is the latest high-profile athlete to enjoy Mykonos this summer, following recent sightings of other basketball stars on the island.
