Low-cost airline easyJet has signed a long-term agreement with Bird Aviation for the provision of base maintenance services at its facilities in Larnaca, Cyprus.
The agreement covers two maintenance lines and will initially run for seven years, with an option to extend the partnership for an additional three years.
Under the deal, Bird Aviation will carry out heavy maintenance checks on easyJet’s Airbus A320 family aircraft, supporting the airline’s ongoing fleet operations across Europe.
The partnership builds on an established relationship between the two companies and provides a stable framework for the continued delivery of major maintenance services.
The agreement also strengthens the position of Bird Aviation’s Larnaca facilities as a key aviation maintenance hub in the Eastern Mediterranean, supporting easyJet’s maintenance programme over the coming years.
The collaboration highlights Cyprus’ growing role in the regional aviation sector, with increased demand for aircraft maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) services as airlines expand and modernise their fleets.
