Temperature: 20–29/30 °C (minimum 2–3 °C lower in Epirus).

Thessaly, Eastern Sterea, Evia & Eastern Peloponnese
Variable cloud with local rain and thunderstorms, locally heavy in Magnesia (coastal), the Sporades (until morning) and central/northern Evia (until late morning). Phenomena stop by afternoon. Eastern Peloponnese mostly fair with possible mountain showers later.
Winds: Northerly 4–5 Beaufort, up to 6 in the east, easing from midday.
Temperature: 20–29/30 °C (2–3 °C cooler in the north).

Cyclades & Crete Weather
Cloudy with local rain and morning thunderstorms in the Cyclades. Gradual improvement from midday starting from the north.

Eastern Aegean Islands & Dodecanese

Dodecanese: Cloudy with local rain and possible early isolated thunderstorms, quickly improving.
Winds: Northerly 4–6 Beaufort, locally up to 7 in the south from the afternoon.

Initially fair in central and northern areas, then increasing cloud with local rain and possible isolated thunderstorms in the north, improving by evening. Elsewhere generally sunny.

Temporary cloud with local rain and afternoon mountain thunderstorms over the northern Ionian, Epirus, western Macedonia and gradually the rest of the mainland. Improvement in the evening.

Temperature: Slight drop in the north.

A significant weather shift is on the way. According to the latest European Centre (ECMWF) maps, a warm air mass will push temperatures well above seasonal averages early next week before cooler air returns.

  • Monday 27 July: Warm air spreads across most of the country.
  • Tuesday 28 July: Peak of the heat, especially in central and southern Greece, the Peloponnese and Crete.
  • From Wednesday 29 July: Cooler air arrives from the north-west, first affecting northern and central regions.
  • By Friday 31 July: The warm air mass moves fully into the eastern Mediterranean and temperatures return to more comfortable, seasonal levels nationwide.
