Around 2,260 electric bicycles classified as unclaimed goods will go under auction next week in Piraeus, according to an official announcement by the General Directorate of Customs and Excise Duties.
The auction will take place at the facilities of the 1st Piraeus Customs Office in Neo Ikonio on Friday, July 24, 2026, from 11:00am to 12:00pm.
The process will follow a competitive bidding system and only individuals or businesses that meet the legal requirements for purchasing and distributing the goods can participate.
Interested buyers can inspect the bicycles before the auction on Wednesday, July 22 and Thursday, July 23, between 9:00am and 2:00pm, at the same location in the presence of authorised customs officials.
The auction marks the third attempt to sell the bicycles, as the two previous auctions did not conclude successfully.
According to the official notice, participants must provide a guarantee equal to 10% of the initial bid price for the goods they wish to purchase.
Electric bicycles included in the auction
The auction includes a total of 2,260 electric bicycles from various brands and models, with indicative sale prices listed before taxes:
- 208 electric bicycles, including 128 Mapfour models (N1 Air ST, N1 Air and N1 Pro), one T14 e-bike and 79 Engwe e-bikes — initial price: €37,123
- 250 Engwe L20se electric bicycles — initial price: €46,035
- 145 Cyrusher electric bicycles, including 16 Kommoda Pro and 129 Kommoda 3.0 models — initial price: €27,221
- 227 Touroll Epac bicycles — initial price: €28,512
- 306 Hillmiles Milecity1 electric bicycles — initial price: €41,579
- 273 Hillmiles Mile Port 1 electric bicycles — initial price: €35,370
- 204 Touroll 11 Pro J1 Pro Hydraulic electric bicycles — initial price: €26,810
- 248 Engwe EP-2 Pro electric bicycles — initial price: €34,250
- 195 Ceki V20Pro electric bicycles — initial price: €38,658
- 204 Touroll MA1 36V 250W electric bicycles — initial price: €35,747
Auction conditions and buyer responsibilities
The customs authority clarified that the Greek state will not accept responsibility towards successful bidders regarding the quality, condition or possible defects of the auctioned goods.
The notice also states that the bicycles remain inside shipping containers, which may limit the ability of interested buyers to fully inspect them before bidding.
