Kimberly Guilfoyle Steals the Spotlight at Paris Haute Couture Week

Kimberly Guilfoyle, the US Ambassador to Greece, made a surprise appearance on the front row of Paris Haute Couture Week, attending Greek designer Celia Kritharioti’s Autumn/Winter 2026/2027 showcase in a sheer, jewel-encrusted gown.

Guilfoyle, 57, stepped out on Thursday for the presentation, held during a week that has already drawn a run of A-list attendees to the French capital, including Jennifer Lopez and Cardi B. Lopez, who wore a shimmering sheer couture gown finished with a feathered coat, watched the show from the front row alongside her sister Linda.

For her own appearance, Guilfoyle wore a sheer high-neck maxi dress covered in hundreds of jewels, paired with cream peep-toe platform heels and a crocodile Himalayan Lady Dior Mini bag by Christian Dior. She wore her hair in loose curls and kept to her signature smoky eye, finished with a red manicure. She was photographed posing for the cameras before taking her seat next to fashion figure Fancy James.

“Kimberly Guilfoyle stole the spotlight at Celia Kritharioti’s spectacular fashion show in Paris. A glamorous evening celebrating Greek haute couture on the international stage. Elegance, style, and timeless sophistication.” Attica Times

The appearance was shared by Attica Times on Instagram, with a caption describing Guilfoyle as having “stole the spotlight” at what it called a “glamorous evening celebrating Greek haute couture on the international stage.”

Guilfoyle has held the ambassadorship to Greece since November 2025, and her presence at the show doubled as a nod to the diplomatic relationship between Washington and Athens as much as a fashion moment. The show itself marked a significant point for Kritharioti, who heads Greece’s oldest couture atelier, founded in Athens in 1906. Her house made its debut on the official Haute Couture Week calendar as an Invited Member of the Fédération de la Haute Couture et de la Mode earlier this year, a step that followed the opening of a Parisian atelier alongside her Athens headquarters. Kritharioti has previously said her approach to couture is to shape every garment around the individual woman wearing it, rather than the reverse. Thursday’s presentation was staged at the Galerie Vendôme on Rue de la Paix, in the heart of Paris, drawing a mix of fashion, arts and society figures alongside its celebrity guests.

Guilfoyle’s turn on the Paris circuit comes at a striking moment in her personal life. Her former fiance, Donald Trump Jr, recently married Bettina Anderson in a Palm Beach ceremony in May, followed by a private celebration on the 38-acre island of Little Pipe Cay, where the main house alone reportedly rents for $750,000 a week in high season.

Guilfoyle and Trump Jr had been together since 2018 and were engaged in December 2020, though the engagement was not made public until January 2022, before the relationship ended following reports that Guilfoyle was blindsided by images of Trump Jr with Anderson in 2024. Her appearance in Paris speaks to a public chapter now defined less by that history than by her diplomatic role, one that has placed her firmly within both Greece’s cultural and social calendar.
