The decision to cancel organic farming programs that the state’s services were unable to handle with transparency was a necessary step toward untangling the mess with subsidies. But it is also an example of the injustices that corruption creates, and now, honest professionals and businesses will be punished along with the handful of fraudsters. That is the price for finally putting an end to bogus subsidy claims.
