A man has been arrested in Thessaloniki for allegedly secretly shooting video footage of women in lavatories, public transport and on beaches, police said Wednesday.
The 37-year-old suspect was detained in the ladies’ room of a gym, where he had allegedly sneaked into one of the stalls. He then allegedly stuck his phone under a partition wall and took a video of a woman in an adjoining stall.
When she saw what was happening and called the police, the man tried to flush his phone down the lavatory bowl.
Police searched his home and found a large number of digital photos and videos of women in various states of undress that he is believed to have secretly recorded in public spaces or bathrooms.
