An Athens taxi driver has been arrested in the city center for charging clients double the legal rate, police said Wednesday.
The 59-year-old suspect was detained during daytime Tuesday by traffic police who found he had allegedly switched the meter in his cab to the post-midnight charge, which is twice the normal fare.
He faces prosecution for overcharging.
