A 13-year-old boy riding an electric scooter died after a collision with a car in the village of Makrisia, in western Greece.
According to local reports, the accident occurred on a central road as the minor attempted to avoid a car parked on the roadway. He moved into the opposite lane and collided head-on with an oncoming vehicle.
The impact was severe, leaving the boy critically injured. Emergency services transported him to a hospital in Krestena, where doctors made extensive efforts to save his life.
Despite their efforts, the boy later succumbed to his injuries.
Authorities are investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.
