Police motorcyclists have arrested a man on the western outskirts of Athens for playing music full blast from an enhanced sound system installed in his car, authorities said Monday.
The 25-year-old suspect was taken into custody around midday Sunday in the capital’s Aharnes suburb, also known as Menidi.
A police statement said the car was equipped with “a high-powered sound system” working at maximum volume.
The suspect faces charges of causing a disturbance. While incidents of car drivers using souped-up sound systems at top volume are not uncommon, arrests for doing so are.
