A Greek-linked container ship that came under attack Wednesday from an Iranian speedboat in the Strait of Hormuz is on the move, heading for the Persian Gulf.
The Epaminondas is on a northwest course at a speed of 14.8 knots, in an Iranian corridor set by the Revolutionary Guards.
This could either indicate a process to free the ship following negotiations or its heading for an Iranian port.
Earlier Wednesday, Greek authorities had denied reports from Tehran that the vessel has been taken over by Iranian forces.
All the crew members have been reported safe, while the ship suffered damage to its bridge.
