The General Council of the Bank of Greece (BoG), has proposed the reappointment of Yannis Stournaras as governor of the BoG, ahead of the expiration of his term on June 26.
The General Council’s decision to appoint Stournaras to a third term was taken unanimously during its meeting on Monday, and the proposal to the cabinet was made pursuant to Article 29 of the bank’s statute.
