The chasm between the expectations of candidate employees and the practices pursued by employers is growing, according to two surveys by kariera.gr.
This mainly concerns Millennial and Gen Z job-seekers, 53% of whom say they ‘never or almost never’ see a reference to the offered salary in job ads.
Six out of seven (85%) want more information about the salaries offered, and one in three worry that if they ask for such information, they will be rejected.
Therefore, 84% believe that the main deficit lies not in the amount of the salary itself but in transparent and reliable mechanisms explaining how salaries and promotion function.
