A man was arrested on the Ionian island of Lefkada after he allegedly attacked police officers who stopped his car on the Lefkada-Vasiliki provincial road.
According to the police, the suspect “resisted, striking them with his hands and head,” though no injuries were reported. The incident occurred on Wednesday.
Narcotics officers conducted a body search and searched the suspect’s vehicle and home, seizing 6.9 grams of cocaine in six packets, €835 in cash and two precision scales.
The car was confiscated for allegedly having been used in narcotics trafficking. A felony case file was opened on charges of drug distribution and violence against public employees.
