Subway and tram schedules for Friday and Saturday


Athens subway trains will end their run earlier on Good Friday and Saturday, Athens Urban Rail Transport has announced.

Usually trains run later on Fridays and on a 24-hour basis on Saturdays, but not this weekend because of the Easter holiday.

Thus, on Good Friday, the last Line 2 and Line 3 trains are scheduled to depart Syntagma station toward all directions at 20 minutes past midnight, as they do all Sunday to Thursday nights. As usual, the last trains will delay their departures by a couple of minutes to accommodate the crowds rushing to take public transport.

On Saturday, Easter Eve, Line 2 and Line 3 trains will depart Syntagma at 11 p.m.

On Line 1 (Piraeus-Kifissia) trains will depart the terminal stations to the other end of the line at 10.20 pm. As far as the central Athens stations are concerned, trains to Kifissia will depart Monastiraki, Omonia and Attiki stations at 10.36, 10.39 and 10.44 p.m., respectively, while trains to Piraeus will depart Attiki, Omonia and Monastiraki at 10.47, 10.52 and 10.54 p.m.

On Line 2, the last train from Anthoupoli will depart at 10.43 p.m. and from Elliniko at 10.40 p.m.

On Line 3, the last train from Dimotiko Theatro, in Piraeus, will depart at 10.37 p.m. and Doukissis Plakentias at 10.42 p.m. 

The last Line 3 train to the Airport will depart Dimotiko Theatro at 9.42 p.m. and the last train from the Airport will depart at 10.22 p.m.

Tram Line 6 (Syntagma-Pikrodafni) will depart Pikrodafni at 10 p.m. and Syntagma at 10.45 p.m.
Tram Line 7 (Piraeus-Voula) will depart Asklipieio station at 9.44 p.m. and Piraeus port (Akti Poseidonos; also connecting with Line 1 and 3 Piraeus station) at 10.11 p.m.

Those who need to ride both lines to get to their destination, changing at Pikrodafni, they must depart Syntagma at 10 p.m. to get in the direction of Voula or 9.30 p.m. for destinations toward Akti Poseidonos; to get to destinations toward Syntagma, they must depart Akti Poseidonos at 9.28 p.m. and Asklipieio at 9.29 p.m.
