Following the pretrial detention of four suspects in the cash transport robbery in Lavrio, southeast Attica, on September 26, two more have been imprisoned: A 56-year-old man and his son, 26.
Both deny charges of being part of a criminal gang formed to carry our such heists.
The elder suspect requested a forensic expert to analyze his DNA and review the evidence, and sought house arrest on health grounds, which was denied.
In the €1 million Lavrio heist, the robbers used stolen vehicles, mock explosive devices and weapons. A sudden increase in spending by the suspects post-robbery raised suspicions, leading to their arrest.
