Athens honors the centenary of composer Mikis Theodorakis’ birth with a special concert highlighting his symphonic works at the Athens Concert Hall (115 Vasilisis Sofias). Often overshadowed by his popular songs, these pieces reflect his deep connection to Greek culture. The Camerata, led by conductor George Petrou, will perform Theodorakis’ first and last symphonic compositions, written over 50 years apart. Tickets start from 10 euros at megaron.gr.
