Power network considered at risk over Easter

Grid stability appears at an increased risk this Easter, especially the four-day period from Good Friday to Easter Monday.

The reasons for that are the large decline in demand, as businesses are closed and a large part of the population goes to the countryside, and the high production from renewables.

This year the risk is much greater, as a result of which scenarios are being discussed even for the complete exit from the grid from Good Friday to Easter Sunday of the approximately 7,000 photovoltaic plants that do not have a remote control system installed so that they can be automatically shut down in the event of an emergency.
