The Education Ministry has launched the “Skills4Life” platform, offering students creative preparation for the PISA international student assessment.
The platform includes over 130 interactive exercises in math, science and reading, focusing on applying theory to real-life scenarios, reducing rote learning.
Developed with the University of Ioannina, the platform targets 9,000 students participating in this year’s PISA exam, aiming to bridge the gap between its practical focus and the Greek curriculum. Exercises feature creative prompts like formulating arguments about video games or calculating ingredients for softer lip gloss.
The government plans to expand the platform for all schools, linking knowledge with real-world application to foster critical thinking, personalized learning, and skills for life beyond the classroom.
