The regulation on nonperforming agricultural loans, which is expected to be voted on in February, will provide relief to more than 21,000 farmers and 700 agricultural cooperatives.
The regulation is part of the bill by the Ministry of Rural Development and Food, which was submitted a few days ago for public consultation and, as has become known, concerns an amount of 3.8 billion euros.
“With the new provision on bad agricultural loans, we are offering real support to those who fight for production every day,” Minister of Rural Development and Food Kostas Tsiaras told the Athens-Macedonian News Agency.
He also underlined that the upcoming regulations are targeted and fair.
