Athens’ Olympic Athletic Centre became a giant digital canvas on Saturday 31 October, when Anyma brought his audiovisual show ÆDEN to Greece for the first time – and gave it a distinctly ancient Greek flavour.
Anyma, the stage name of Italian-American DJ and producer Matteo Milleri, performed at OAKA’s Wall of Nations in Marousi before a crowd that in.gr and loaded.gr both put at more than 15,000. Both reviews say he took the stage at 10.15pm and played for more than two hours, while loaded.gr notes that Italian brothers Mathame warmed up the crowd with an hour-long set beforehand.
The bill also featured Naples project 19:26, a back-to-back set from Jast and SLVR, Henri Bergmann and Athens-born Chris IDH. The event was presented by P+US, Primer Music Festival and Dreamstar Events, CNN Greece reported.
Ancient Greece meets artificial intelligence
Anyma’s shows are known for treating the visuals as seriously as the music, and ÆDEN is built around a huge video wall, 3D figures, lasers and synchronised lighting. What made the Athens night stand out for local audiences was the way it drew on antiquity.

According to mad.gr and in.gr, mythological figures, classical statues and towering columns were woven into the digital scenery. Familiar forms from classical sculpture reappeared with metallic, machine-like features, as though lifted out of the ancient world and dropped into a distant future.
In.gr noted that Anyma has named antiquity as one of the main sources of inspiration for ÆDEN, with classical art, Greco-Roman aesthetics and mythology shaping both the stage design and the look of the show. The idea, it wrote, is a dialogue between past and future in which human creativity, technology and artificial intelligence sit side by side.
Ethnos’ reviewer was first struck by the sheer size of the projections, then by the detail – the movement of the bodies and surfaces that looked like marble or metal. Reviewers agreed the production was the real star of the night, with in.gr describing the music as familiar Anyma territory and the visuals as the element that lifted the experience.
From Coachella and the Sphere to OAKA
ÆDEN premiered at Coachella in April before setting off on a world tour that has already taken in London, Gdańsk, Vancouver, Milan and Sydney, with Mumbai, Abu Dhabi, Bangkok, Paris and São Paulo among the dates still to come.
“It was a dream to see this come to life on such a stage,” Anyma wrote on Instagram after the Coachella premiere. “Now let’s go on tour.”
The tour follows his landmark residency at the Sphere in Las Vegas, Afterlife Presents Anyma: The End of Genesys. He was the first electronic act to headline the venue, and the 12-night run from December 2024 to March 2025 drew more than 200,000 fans, Billboard reported.
In Athens, fans were quick to share clips from the night, including this one posted on TikTok.

For a show about where humanity and technology are heading, there were few more fitting places to stage it than the city where so much of Western art and thought began.
