Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis has expressed his sorrow over the loss of lives caused by a fire at a popular ski resort in northwestern Turkey on Tuesday, which claimed at least 66 lives.
In a statement posted on X, the Greek leader said he was “deeply saddened by the tragic loss of lives” at the Bolu ski resort. He added: “I extend heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims and wish a swift recovery to the injured.”
According to Turkey’s Interior Minister, Ali Yerlikaya, at least 51 others were injured in the disaster.
