Greek fashion designer Dimitra Petsa has once again turned heads at London Fashion Week with an unconventional creation inspired by motherhood, breastfeeding and the human body.
Petsa, founder of the London-based fashion house Di Petsa, presented her Spring/Summer 2027 collection, titled “Holy Milk”, on Monday, September 21.
The show featured British singer and former Little Mix member Leigh-Anne Pinnock, who is currently expecting her first child, in one of the collection’s most striking looks.
Pinnock appeared on the runway wearing a sculptural nursing bra fitted with special nozzles designed to release liquid, creating the visual effect of breast milk.
The performance formed part of the closing presentation, with Pinnock dressed in an ethereal white two-piece ensemble while models gathered around her.
A mechanism incorporated into the outfit allowed liquid to be released from the garment as Pinnock moved across the runway, creating a theatrical representation of breastfeeding and motherhood.
Pinnock completed a full rotation during the performance, allowing the liquid to fall across the surrounding models.
According to Petsa, the creation was designed as a commentary on motherhood, the body and the way intimate acts can become spectacles when placed within the fashion world.
“The creation is a striking commentary on motherhood, the body and care as spectacle,” Petsa said in a statement reported by People.
The designer has become known internationally for combining Greek influences with experimental designs that explore themes including femininity, sexuality, the body and identity.
The latest collection continues that approach, transforming an intimate aspect of motherhood into a dramatic runway performance at one of the world’s most closely watched fashion events.
Petsa’s Di Petsa label has gained a growing international following for its distinctive aesthetic, with previous collections attracting attention for their sculptural designs and references to the female form.
The “Holy Milk” show has now added another provocative chapter to the Greek designer’s growing international profile.
