Three men were arrested on the island of Rhodes on Tuesday for attempting to illegally transport six irregular migrants into Greece in a yacht.
The rescued migrants identified a 30-year-old foreign national as the captain of the boat, while two more men aged 40 and 63, were identified as assistants and members of the criminal ring whose role was to escort people from Turkey to Greece.
The migrants also told police they had paid 4,000 euros each for their transport to Rhodes.
