Hull City have completed the signing of Greece international goalkeeper Konstantinos Tzolakis from Olympiacos in a club-record €20 million deal.
The 23-year-old goalkeeper has signed a five-year contract with the English club, ending a successful spell with the Greek champions after making 131 appearances for Olympiacos.
Tzolakis played a key role in Olympiacos’ historic UEFA Europa Conference League triumph in 2024. During his time with the club, he also won four Greek league titles, two Greek Cups and one Super Cup.
Since making his first-team debut in 2019, Tzolakis featured in all three UEFA club competitions. He made 27 European appearances and kept 11 clean sheets. Domestically, he played 100 matches and recorded 51 clean sheets.
The €20 million transfer sets a new club-record fee for Hull City and marks only the third time the English side has spent more than €10 million on a player. The club’s previous record signing was Ryan Mason, who joined from Tottenham Hotspur for €15.4 million in 2016.
Speaking after completing the move, Tzolakis said he was excited to begin the next chapter of his career.
“I am very happy to be here. It is a great honour to join Hull City. I am ready for a new chapter in my career. I have already met the players and staff in Turkey, and I thank them for the warm welcome.
“With Olympiacos, I enjoyed a successful career, winning the Conference League, a league title and a cup, while also playing in European competitions and the Champions League.
“Hull City is different because we play in the Premier League. We have to compete against top players, so it is a great challenge for me.
“I feel ready. I will give everything every day in training to help the team achieve its goals. I am excited to be in England. I wanted to join Hull City because the Premier League is the best league in the world.
“I know Hull City have passionate supporters, and I cannot wait to play for them.”
