Greece’s U18 Women’s National Team recorded its second consecutive victory at the FIBA U18 Women’s EuroBasket Division B, defeating North Macedonia 73-42 in Tulcea, Romania.
Greece gradually took control of the contest before effectively putting the game beyond reach in the first half. The team built a commanding 40-20 lead by halftime, using relentless defensive pressure and forcing 13 steals in the opening 20 minutes.
The Greek side maintained its dominance after the break, dictating the tempo on both ends of the court and denying North Macedonia any chance of a comeback before sealing a convincing 31-point victory.
Kakkara led Greece’s scoring with 20 points, while Fousteri added 16 points and Yfantopoulou contributed 13.
Greece will look to extend its unbeaten start when it faces Slovakia on Sunday at 6:30 p.m. local time.
