Nicosia / Tel Aviv – 27 July 2026 — Yashar! party chairman Gadi Eisenkot has launched an unusual overseas billboard campaign in Cyprus aimed at Israeli tourists, urging them to return home and vote in Israel’s October 27 election.
The billboards, placed near Larnaca Airport in locations visible to both arriving and departing travelers, feature Eisenkot’s photo alongside the message: “Israelis, enjoy! You deserve it.”
A second set of signs facing passengers heading back to the airport reads: “Landed? Had fun? Now come back and win!”
Eisenkot’s campaign headquarters confirmed the signs form part of the official election effort and are designed to reach the large number of Israelis currently vacationing in Cyprus.
The move has already sparked debate both in Israel and on the island, with some viewing it as creative outreach and others questioning the appropriateness of political advertising abroad.
