Greek Australian entrepreneurs Georgia Contos and Kayla Itsines have been named among Australia’s top 100 female founders and executives in News Corp’s latest list celebrating the country’s most influential women in business.
The annual ranking recognises a diverse group of entrepreneurs and corporate leaders who have helped shape Australia’s business landscape. Among those featured are Canva co-founder Melanie Perkins, Mecca founder Jo Horgan, Coles chief executive Leah Weckert, Telstra CEO Vicki Brady, and fashion entrepreneurs Lorna Jane Clarkson, Tania Austin, and sisters Nicky and Simone Zimmermann.
Georgia Contos
New South Wales entrepreneur Georgia Contos, 34, earned recognition for co-founding the global fashion brand White Fox with her husband, Daniel Contos.
The couple launched the business in 2013, initially selling clothing through eBay before transforming it into one of Australia’s most successful online fashion retailers. Today, White Fox has built an international following, with its signature hoodies and activewear worn by celebrities including Kim Kardashian and Emily Ratajkowski.
Driven by a strong social media presence, the Sydney-based company has amassed more than 2.7 million Instagram followers and now generates an estimated annual revenue of around A$400 million. Headquartered in Rosebery, White Fox has become a major Australian fashion success story, with reports estimating Contos’ personal wealth at approximately A$1.4 billion.
Kayla Itsines
Adelaide-born fitness entrepreneur Kayla Itsines, 35, was also recognised for her achievements as co-founder of the digital fitness platform Sweat.
Itsines launched the business with former partner Tobi Pearce, growing it into one of the world’s leading digital fitness communities with millions of users worldwide and annual revenue approaching A$100 million at its peak.
Earlier this year, Itsines regained sole ownership of Sweat after previously selling the company to US fitness technology firm iFIT in a deal reportedly valued at close to A$200 million.
Having been the face of the brand for more than a decade, Itsines continues to lead Sweat as it expands its range of fitness programs, introduces new trainers and develops new products for its global community. Her estimated personal fortune now exceeds A$170 million.
The recognition of both Contos and Itsines highlights the growing influence of Greek Australian entrepreneurs, whose businesses have achieved international success while inspiring a new generation of women in business.
