Police in Patra have arrested a man accused of encouraging his 12-year-old son to fire a gun from the window of their home, police said.
The arrest followed information and video material submitted to investigators by the police’s cybercrime unit and the child welfare organization The Smile of the Child.
According to police, the footage showed the minor discharging a firearm from a window while allegedly acting under the instruction of his father.
A subsequent search of the family residence uncovered a firearm, an air pistol with a magazine, 13 flashbang cartridges, two spent shell casings and two carbon dioxide gas canisters.
The suspect was later brought before a prosecutor.
