Three Turks have been identified as being behind a gunfire attack on another Turkish national in Thessaloniki last month, police said Thursday.
One suspect has been arrested while police are seeking the other two. The incident comes amid a surge in violence between members of Turkish crime groups in Greece that has seen a spate of killings and shootings, mostly in and around Athens and Thessaloniki.
Police did not provide a motive for the April 27 shooting in Thessaloniki, in which a 28-year-old Turkish man was injured in the thigh and then allegedly beaten up.
The suspect was also charged in the past with abduction and extortion, a police statement said.
