The Ministry of Environment and Energy approved on Thursday the Special Environmental Study 11a for the Natura 2000 sites in the region of Epirus and parts of Western Macedonia.
According to an announcement, the decision demonstrates the government’s dedication to environmental protection and the creation of a thorough management framework.
The study area encompasses 25 Natura 2000 sites situated within the regional units of Thesprotia, Ioannina, Preveza and Grevena.
These sites are characterized by significant mountain, wetland, and coastal ecosystems.
