A man has appeared before a prosecutor in Athens after being arrested for possession of a pistol and a magazine with 15 rounds of ammunition.
The 40 year old was arrested late Sunday while driving by motorcycle police on a regular patrol in the Vyronas district.
They had deemed his movements to be suspicious and pulled him over. A search of the car’s trunk yielded the pistol and ammunition.
The man is understood to be known to police.
