A man has died after jumping from the first floor of a burning hotel in Kalabaka in Thessaly.
According to reports, the victim is the 55-year-old owner of the hotel. He had jumped from the structure before the arrival of firefighters and later died of his injuries.
Firefighters are understood to have rescued 26 people from the hotel, 11 of whom were admitted to hospital with respiratory problems.
The causes of the fire, which broke out in the early hours, remain unknown.
Kalabaka is near the emblematic rock formations of Meteora.
