A 5.7-magnitude earthquake struck off the southern coast of Crete on Friday morning.
According to the Institute of Geodynamics at the National Observatory of Athens, the quake occurred at 6.18 a.m., approximately 23 km south-southwest of Lasithi, at a depth of 9.7 km.
There were no immediate reports of casualties or damage.
